To start, take 20-25 overlapping photos on a tripod slowly moving from one side to the other. Then when in Photoshop (for the panorama):

-edit

-automate

-photomerge

-browse

-choose all the photos included in your panorama

-let the computer work it's magic

 

(for the expansion):

-open first photo in your set of panoramic pictures

-crop the photo and expand it out to as long as you need it to be to fit all your pictures

-add each photo in the panorama one by one and line up the photos where the edges blend
